meeting at 10:00 am in the meeting room of the library in Liberty. A field trip was made after the meeting to
selected cemeteries between Liberty and Centreville. |

December 3, 2011 |
The December meeting was the traditional society Open House
event. This year the site was the
Decatur Butler house (also known as the Tommy Talbert house) on Hwy. 567
northwest of Liberty. A map and directions can be seen here. The open house ran from noon until 3:00pm. No business meeting was held. |

By earlier decision of the Executive Board, there will be no
meeting in July. Meetings will resume
in August. |

June 11, 2011 |
The June meeting of the ACHGS was the Annual Meeting for the
election of officers for the coming fiscal year. A program was also be presented following the
business meeting and conclusion of voting in officer elections. The draft minutes of the meeting may be

May 7, 2011 |
The May meeting of the ACHGS was a brief convening about 9:45
am in the library in Liberty to formally receive the report of the Nominating
Committee and to open the floor for additional nominations. Otherwise the activities of the society
were devoted to presenting displays and demonstrations in conjunction with
Liberty Heritage Day. The brief

December 4, 2010 |
The December meeting of the ACHGS was an open house at
the Kelly Law Office on Main Street in Liberty. This site is the old
Liberty Hardware and Busby Mercantile stores that have been renovated with an
eye to retaining as much of the old structure as possible. The open
house was complete with an abundance of finger foods and punch, live music,
and an opportunity for genealogical research. |
