June 14, 2008	ANNUAL MEETING OF ACHGS: This meeting will be the most important meeting of the year. The election of officers for the next fiscal year will be concluded . Following the business meeting and the closing of the polls, the society will host an Amite County-style "Antiques Roadshow." More details on this event may be read here.
--	Members should be on the watch for the ballots that are being mailed. As was done last year, ballots may be cast either by return mail according to the instructions in the mailout or deposited in the ballot box at the June meeting. Ballots mailed too late to be delivered by June 14 will not be counted.
May 10, 2008	The May meeting of the ACHGS was held in the meeting room of the Liberty Library with the business meeting beginning about 10:05 am. Information on the upcoming June annual meeting and the election of officers for the next fiscal year was discussed. The draft minutes of the meeting may be read here.
April 12, 2008	The April meeting of the ACHGS was held at the new time, date and place decided upon in February. The business meeting began at 10:00 am, Saturday, April 12, 2008, in the meeting room of the Liberty Library. March 8, 2008	The March meeting of the ACHGS was a special quarterly meeting which included a program on the arboretum and the families that contributed to its founding and a field trip to the Gloster Arboretum. The business meeting was held in the meeting room of the Liberty Library beginning at 10:00 am. The meeting was somewht abbreviated so that time would be left for the presentation and arboretum tour. February 14, 2008	The February meeting of the Amite County Historical and Genealogical Society was held at 7:00 pm in the court room of the Amite County Courthouse. The minutes of the meeting may be read here.
